Community Building

Cross-ERG collaboration is a constant undercurrent at Oracle: OPAL regularly partners with sister employee resource groups like ABLE, ION, MAVEN, ODAN, OLA, OPEN, and OWL on open houses and meet-and-greets that build a wider inclusive community, not just our own. I design the marketing assets for these events at both the global OPAL level and locally for OPAL Midwest, from event graphics to Zoom virtual backgrounds for our online gatherings. And when a longtime leader steps down, including OPAL’s own founder after years of service, we mark it the same way every time: a Slack tribute and a virtual send-off, made by hand, not templated.
