Community Building

I attended NAAAP’s national Leadership Convention four years running, from Washington DC in 2022 through Kansas City in 2025, each year alongside dozens of Oracle colleagues as part of OPAL. In 2025 I joined the programming committee for the first time, selecting sessions and coordinating speakers for the national event, and helped host the OPAL contingent in my own city. The convention becomes a once-a-year gathering point: keynotes on leadership and belonging, formal galas in cultural dress, and a chance to reconnect with an OPAL community that spans the country.
